쿠코인이 미국 내 무허가 송금 혐의와 관련 유죄를 인정, 미국 법무부와 2억 9700만 달러 상당의 벌금을 납부하기로 합의했다고 코인데스크가 전했다. 뉴욕남부연방지검은 28일(현지시간) 성명을 통해 이 같이 발표하면서 "쿠코인은 수십억 달러 규모의 의심스러운 거래, 랜섬웨어, 스캠 등을 포함한 범죄 수익 전송에 사용됐다. 이번 합의에 따라 쿠코인은 미국 시장에서 철수한다"고 설명했다.
