폭스비즈니스 기자 엘리노어 테렛(Eleanor Terrett)이 X를 통해 "다수의 법률 소식통에 따르면 미국 증권거래위원회(SEC)가 법원 마감일이 임박한 케이스에 우선순위를 두고 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 이것이 리플, 크라켄 사건에 대한 일시 중단 요청이 없는 이유일 것"이라고 전했다. 그는 "리플의 다음 법정 기한은 4월 16일(현지시간)이며, 크라켄은 3월 31일"이라며 "앞서 SEC는 코인베이스 항소 검토를 위해 맨해튼 항소법원에 기한 연장을 요청한 바 있다. 이에 따라 답변 기한이 3월 14일로 연장됐다. SEC는 도널드 트럼프 대통령이 지명한 폴 앳킨스의 SEC 위원장 인준이 그때쯤에는 확정될 것으로 예상하고 있는 것으로 보인다"고 설명했다.
