달러 연동 스테이블코인 발행사 테더(USDT)가 유럽연합(EU) 제재 대상인 러시아 암호화폐 거래소 가란텍스(Garantex)가 보유한 2700만 USDT를 동결한 것으로 나타났다. 코인텔레그래프는 "러시아의 우크라이나 침략과 관련된 EU의 제재 일환으로 자금이 동결됐다. 해당 거래소는 EU의 제재를 받는 러시아 은행들과 연루돼 있다"고 설명했다.
