더블록에 따르면, 유럽안정화기구(ESM) 총재 피에르 그라메냐(Pierre Gramegna)가 "도널드 트럼프 대통령의 친암호화폐 정책이 유럽의 통화 자율성에 해가 될 수 있다"고 지적했다. 이어 “현재 트럼프 행정부는 암호화폐, 특히 달러 기반 스테이블코인에 우호적인 입장을 보이고 있다. 미국의 적극적인 암호화폐 지원 정책으로 인해 미국 및 해외 대형 기술 기업들이 USDS(스카이의 달러 연동 스테이블코인)를 기반으로 한 결제 솔루션을 출시할 가능성이 있다. 이는 유럽의 통화 주권과 금융 안정성에 위협을 초래할 수 있다”고 덧붙였다.
