13일(현지시간) 스테이블코인 법안(GENIUS Act)이 상원 은행위원회를 통과한 가운데, 해당 법안에 양당 합의 조항이 추가됐다고 폭스비즈니스 기자 엘리노어 테렛이 X를 통해 전했다. 추가된 내용은 다음과 같다. - 승인받은 발행사가 발행하지 않은 결제 스테이블코인에 대한 내용 - 규제 당국이 신청 기업의 리더 역량, 경험, 청렴성을 고려하도록 요구하는 내용 - 결제 스테이블코인 발행사가 기만적인 이름(Deceptive Names)을 사용하지 못하도록 이를 금지하는 내용 - 연방준비제도이사회(FRB)의 마스터 계정 관련 현 상태를 유지하려는 법안의 의도를 명확히 하는 내용 - 파산 시 스테이블코인 고객에게 다른 채권자보다 우선권을 부여하는 내용 - 준비금 요건을 명확히하는 내용
