제롬 파월 미 연준 의장이 FOMC 후 기자회견에서 미국 경제는 강하다고 말했다. 그는 "인플레이션이 여전히 약간 높지만, 노동시장은 견고하다"고 말했다. 이어 "정책적, 국제적 경제 전망에 대한 불확실성이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 불확실성이 경제 전망에 어떤 영향을 미칠지 아직 알 수 없다. 조사에 따르면 관세가 인플레이션 예측을 주도하고 있다"며 "신호와 잡음을 구분하는데 집중하고 있다"고 덧붙였다.
