마이크로소프트(MS)가 미국 및 유럽 내 새로운 인공지능(AI) 데이터센터 투자 계획을 공급과잉 가능성으로 인해 철회한 가운데, 비트코인 채굴업체 주가가 하락했다. 코인텔레그래프에 따르면 해당 보도와 함께 비트팜스, 클린스파크, 코어사이언티픽, Hut8, 마라톤디지털, 라이엇 주가가 4~12% 하락세를 보였다. 미디어는 "지난해 4월 비트코인 반감기로 인해 채굴 수익이 감소된 후 암호화폐 채굴업체들은 AI 데이터 지원 비즈니스에 더욱 의존하게 됐다"고 설명했다.
