일론 머스크가 정부효율성부서(D.O.G.E) 수장에서 물러날 것이라는 내용이 확산되는 가운데, 그가 자신의 X를 통해 "가짜뉴스"라고 전했다. 앞서 백악관 또한 "도널드 트럼프 대통령이 측근들에게 '일론 머스크가 향후 수 주 내 현재 자리에서 물러날 것'이라고 말했다는 폴리티코 특종 기사는 특종이 아니다. 머스크와 트럼프 대통령은 머스크가 정부효율성 부서에서 임무를 마치면 자리에서 물러날 거라고 공식 석상에서 이미 언급한 적 있다"고 전했다.
