미국 증권거래위원회(SEC)와 리플간 소송과 관련해 한 외부 인사가 결정적 증거를 담은 긴급 서신을 법원에 제출했다고 크립토인아메리카 진행자 엘레노어 테렛이 X를 통해 전했다. 엘레노어 테렛은 "저스틴 W.키너라는 인물이 해당 소송과 관련해 리플 측과 미국 국민의 자유를 위한 결정적 증거를 제시하겠다며 법원에 긴급 요청서를 제출했다. 구체적인 증거 사실과 리플에게 안겨 줄 이익이 무엇인지 추가 설명은 없었다. 키너는 증권법 상 증권으로 간주될 수 있는 요소를 갖춘 물리적 투자 계약(physical investment contracts)과 관련 있을 것이라고 암시했을 뿐"이라며 "추가 조사 결과, 키너는 최근 미등록 페니 주식 딜러로 활동한 혐의로 SEC로부터 소송을 당했으며, 1000만 달러가 넘는 벌금을 선고 받았다"고 설명했다.
