서울경제에 따르면 국민연금공단이 블록체인 기술을 활용해 기금의 입출금과 투자, 거래 내역을 보다 투명하고 효율적으로 관리하는 방안을 검토하고 있다. 조만간 블록체인 등 업계 관계자들의 의견을 수렴하는 사전규격공개 절차에 착수할 예정이다. 이는 국민연금이 블록체인이나 비트코인 등 암호자산에 투자한다는 의미는 아니다.
