비트코인매거진에 따르면 미국 증권거래위원회(SEC) 위원 마크 우예다(Mark Uyeda)가 "SEC는 주정부 승인 신탁사가 비트코인 및 암호화폐를 커스터디할 수 있도록 허용해야 한다"고 말했다.
