John Deaton, a lawyer who supports cryptocurrency, has announced his candidacy for the 2026 U.S. Senate.

PANews reported on November 12th that, according to Cryptopolitan, John Deaton, a well-known cryptocurrency consultant and XRP advocate, announced he will run for the 2026 U.S. Senate as the Massachusetts representative. If Republicans vote for him, Deaton will qualify for the party's nomination, which will be a significant boost to his November campaign. Unlike his previous campaign, cryptocurrency is not on the basis of his platform.

The media analysis stated that Massachusetts presents a challenging political environment for Deaton, as the state's voters are among the most staunch Democratic supporters in the nation. In 2024, Deaton lost to Warren by nearly 20 percentage points.
