PANews reported on February 14 that zkLend officially announced that since the attacker did not contact the team on time, zkLend is pursuing legal action, which may be a long process. To ensure transparency, the team has submitted an incident report to the Hong Kong Police, FBI and Department of Homeland Security to initiate an investigation.
The investigation showed that the hacker was related to previous attacks on other DeFi protocols. zkLend has identified multiple related wallet addresses by monitoring the flow of funds and has provided this information to centralized exchanges (CEX) so that appropriate measures can be taken. The team is also working with the security team to prepare to release a detailed report on the incident, explaining the cause of the attack and subsequent measures.
zkLend said it will release a recovery and fund release plan next week, and promised to prioritize the interests of users and partners and strive to handle the matter fairly and transparently.
