PANews reported on December 30 that according to the tax reform outline released by the Japanese Financial Services Agency, it plans to change the classification of cryptocurrencies to "financial assets" and allow the public to invest in cryptocurrencies. Currently, cryptocurrency assets are still classified as "payment tools" rather than investments.
