US media: Trump team tends to recommend Bowman as Fed's vice chairman of supervision

PANews reported on March 12 that the Wall Street Journal quoted a source as saying that US President Trump's advisory team tends to recommend Federal Reserve Board member Bowman to serve as the vice chairman in charge of bank supervision. After Trump took office in January, Barr resigned as the vice chairman of the Federal Reserve in charge of bank supervision and only retained the position of board member. Trump has not nominated a successor, and the position has been vacant. Some Republican lawmakers have been recommending Republican Bowman to take the position, and Trump's advisers also support the idea. In an interview on Sunday, Trump said that the relevant nominees will be announced in the near future.
