PANews reported on October 2nd that at the Gate x Red Bull themed reception held at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, Gate Group founder Dr. Han delivered a speech titled "Time to Go All-in on Web3." Dr. Han specifically mentioned that his Malta-based company, Gate Technology Ltd ("Gate Europe"), has obtained a MiCA license under the supervision of the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), and will provide crypto asset trading and custody services to users under its supervision.
Dr. Han emphasized that compliance remains at the core of Gate Group's global strategy. He noted that Malta is one of the world's most forward-thinking crypto regulatory jurisdictions. The approval of this license not only lays a solid foundation for Gate Europe's business expansion in Europe but also marks a significant milestone in Gate Group's global compliance strategy. Leveraging this progress, the platform will accelerate the implementation of the EU passporting mechanism and promote the sustainable development of the digital economy in Europe.
Currently, multiple Gate entities have obtained or completed relevant regulatory registrations, license applications, authorizations, or approvals in jurisdictions including Malta, Italy, the Bahamas, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, and Dubai. Dr. Han stated that this regulatory compliance initiative complements the platform's infrastructure development and on-chain ecosystem innovation, jointly supporting Gate's long-term global development and user protection.
