PANews reported on December 16th that, according to Axios, Elon Musk has begun funding the Republican Party's Senate and House campaigns in the 2026 midterm elections, indicating a thawing of their relationship following a heated confrontation earlier this year. Musk, who had previously threatened to form a third party and endorse candidates challenging incumbent Republican members of Congress during his clashes with Trump, has now firmly returned to the Republican camp. According to two sources familiar with the matter, the tech billionaire recently donated a substantial sum to help the Republicans win next year's congressional elections and stated he will continue to provide further funding throughout the 2026 election cycle.
