According to PANews on October 12, on-chain detective ZachXBT posted a message stating, "There are still too many unknowns regarding the identity of the BTC whale who publicly swapped ETH, and I cannot draw a conclusion I'm willing to publish. All the posts currently receiving attention are actually exaggerated versions of immature theories."

What is known is that Garrett Jin/Exe appears to have begun collaborating with a Chinese whale that previously had tens of digits of funds on-chain that remained dormant until recently.

As previously reported, CZ retweeted a post published by Onchain Detective Eye today, claiming the identity of a high-profile BTC whale who swapped ETH was revealed: "It's suspected to be former BitForex CEO Garrett Jin," and stated, "I'm not sure of its authenticity and hope someone can help cross-verify it."
