California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation Releases 24 Cryptocurrency Scams to Help the Public Identify and Avoid Scams

PANews reported on March 16 that according to News.bitcoin, cryptocurrency scams continue to pose a growing threat to investors, with scammers using increasingly sophisticated means to steal funds and personal information. To help the public identify and avoid these scams, the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) has published a glossary of 24 different types of cryptocurrency scams, highlighting the most common ways scammers deceive victims. The list covers a variety of scams, from fake investment opportunities to identity theft and social engineering tactics.
