PANews reported on August 14th that, according to a Google blog post, the Gemini app has added new features, including ad hoc chats and personalized privacy controls. Users can choose to have Gemini reference past conversations to improve personalized responses, or enable ad hoc chats to prevent content from impacting the subsequent experience. Ad hoc chat content is not used for model training and is automatically deleted after 72 hours. Gemini has also updated its data management settings, allowing users to decide whether to upload content for service improvement, and to adjust privacy options at any time.
