South Korean Financial Authorities Investigate Bithumb's Order Sharing Compliance with Stellar Australia

PANews reported on September 23rd that, according to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's Financial Information Analysis Unit ( FIU ) is investigating compliance issues in Bithumb's order book sharing process with the Australian Stellar exchange. Current regulations require virtual asset service providers to fulfill licensing, registration, and anti-money laundering obligations, as well as be able to verify customer information. Bithumb has consulted with regulators, but authorities believe its compliance procedures are insufficient and will take appropriate action if any violations of the Specific Financial Information Act are found.
