A dormant ETH whale, after nine years of holdings, has completed its liquidation, transferring its remaining 85,000 ETH to Gemini.

PANews reported on January 27th that, according to on-chain analyst Yu Jin, a dormant ETH whale address completed its liquidation early this morning, transferring its remaining 85,000 ETH ($248 million) to the Gemini exchange. This represents a profit of $381 million (32 times) over nine years.

  • Nine years ago (in 2017), he withdrew and hoarded 135,000 ETH through Bitfinex at a price of $90, which was worth $12.17 million at the time.
  • Nine years later, in just one and a half days, all 135,000 ETH were transferred to Gemini at a price of $2,908 each, and they are now worth $393 million.
