PANews reported on May 9 that according to Cointelegraph, the crypto exchange Gemini announced that it had obtained the MiFID II license issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), and was allowed to conduct crypto derivatives trading in the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA). The license was officially issued on May 8, allowing Gemini to provide derivatives services such as perpetual contracts to qualified investors. Mark Jennings, head of Gemini Europe, said that the relevant compliance conditions will be completed in the next few months and related products are expected to be launched this year.
