PANews reported on February 18 that asset management company Bitwise has donated $150,000 to Bitcoin open source developers to support their maintenance and strengthening of the Bitcoin network. The company promised to donate 10% of gross profits each year when launching the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), and this is the first annual donation. The funds will be distributed by three non-profit organizations: Brink, OpenSats, and the Human Rights Foundation. Bitwise said that as BITB grows in size, the amount of donations will also increase in the future to support the development of the Bitcoin ecosystem in the long term.
