PANews reported on January 29 that according to TheBlock, Injective announced that it would add native high-performance EVM support to its Layer 1 blockchain. Currently, "Injective EVM" has started initial testing from devnet deployment. It is reported that Injective's original software architecture does not support EVM code itself, but this new development will change this situation and introduce decentralized applications compatible with Ethereum to the network. The final mainnet version is expected to be released later this year.
