PANews reported on May 2 that according to Cointelegraph, a Texas member of the U.S. House of Representatives proposed that government officials consider installing cryptocurrency ATMs in federal buildings across the country. Congressman Lance Gooden wrote to Stephen Ehikian, acting director of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). GSA is the agency responsible for managing U.S. government property. Lance Gooden claimed that the introduction of cryptocurrency ATMs in federal buildings would become an "educational resource" and reflect the progress of financial technology. He suggested that the GSA begin to study the necessary guidelines and regulations required to install such ATMs in government-controlled properties across the United States, and pointed out that this is in line with President Donald Trump's goals.
