PANews reported on June 13 that according to The Block, zero-knowledge proof technology company Succinct announced the completion of a 7-day verification pilot on the World Chain mainnet, paving the way for the transformation of the Ethereum Layer2 network supported by Sam Altman to ZK Rollup. The pilot used 800 GPUs to run Succinct's OP Succinct system, verifying the legitimacy of all transactions and blocks, and shortening the cross-chain final confirmation time from 7 days to 1 hour. Succinct co-founder said that this pilot proved that ZK technology has the ability to be applied in large-scale production environments. The project lays the foundation for the future full decentralization of World Chain, enabling it to transition from operator governance to smart contract control. The two parties plan to use Succinct's new generation zkVM system SP1 Hypercube to carry out a new pilot in the next step.
