PANews reported on October 25 that according to an official announcement, Offchain Labs, the initial developer of Arbitrum, launched the "Fast Withdrawals" function, which shortened the final confirmation time of withdrawals for some Orbit chains and RaaS providers from a maximum of 7 days to less than 15 minutes.

Offchain Labs said that fast withdrawals process transactions through a group of validators. If all members of the committee agree, the state transition of the transaction will be confirmed immediately, thereby achieving a fast withdrawal confirmation frequency. This feature enhances the communication efficiency of cross-chain applications, enabling applications to read confirmed states within 15 minutes. Orbit chains that plan to support this feature include Apechain, Cheese, Nova, Sanko, Xai, etc., and RaaS providers include Alchemy, Altlayer, Ankr, Caldera, Conduit, Gelato, etc.

Previously, Optimistic Rollup usually required a multi-day challenge period to process fraud proofs. The introduction of this new feature has significantly shortened the withdrawal waiting time and improved the user experience.
