PANews reported on February 14 that according to official news, Gate.io has completed the upgrade of the number of ordinary sub-accounts and escrow sub-accounts under all platform user accounts on February 14, 2025 (UTC+8). Currently, VIP0 certified users are allowed to create sub-accounts. It is reported that a sub-account is a type of account opened by users on Gate.io. Users can create multiple sub-accounts and bind them to the main account to practice different trading strategies and reduce risks.

Upgrade details:

• User level VIP0-VIP4: the number of ordinary sub-accounts is upgraded to 10, and the number of managed sub-accounts is upgraded to 10;
• User level VIP5-VIP9: The number of ordinary sub-accounts is upgraded to 30, and the number of managed sub-accounts is upgraded to 30.
