PANews reported on January 16 that Microsoft (MSFT.O) CEO Satya Nadella discussed artificial intelligence and cybersecurity issues in a meeting with US President-elect Trump and Tesla CEO Musk, becoming the latest tech industry leader to show goodwill to the new administration. Microsoft said in a statement that the conversation covered a range of topics, including Microsoft's commitment to invest $80 billion in building artificial intelligence data centers worldwide, of which more than $50 billion will be spent in the United States to create jobs for the country. Microsoft President Smith and Vice President-elect Vance also attended the meeting. Smith warned the incoming Trump administration not to impose "harsh regulation" on artificial intelligence.
