Metaplanet plans to raise $5.4 billion in Bitcoin-only equity financing and plans to hold 100,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2026

PANews reported on June 6 that Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich announced the launch of Bitcoin-specific equity financing, planning to raise 770.9 billion yen (about 5.4 billion US dollars) through the issuance of 555 million dynamically exercised warrants.

The goal of this financing is to hold 100,000 bitcoins by the end of 2026, and increase to 210,000 bitcoins by the end of 2027, accounting for 1% of the total supply of Bitcoin.

Previously, Metaplanet successfully completed its 21 billion plan, raising 93.3 billion yen (about 650 million U.S. dollars) in just 60 trading days, with a Bitcoin yield of 189%. The stock price has tripled since the announcement and ranked among the top ten Bitcoin holders in the world.
