PANews reported on February 11 that Jesse Pollak, head of Coinbase's Base protocol, said he hopes that as many tokens as possible can be listed on Coinbase, including Base ecosystem tokens and other tokens, to promote the development of more DeFi, cultural, practical and Meme projects. He emphasized that the tokens on the market are currently scarce rather than sufficient, and Coinbase's top priority is to expand the scale of token listings.
In addition, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong previously stated that currently about 1 million new tokens are created every week, and the traditional one-by-one review model is no longer sustainable. In the future, the "blacklist" (Blocklist) mechanism may be used to replace the traditional "whitelist" (Allowlist) model, and new methods such as DEX integration and user evaluation system will be explored to speed up the listing process. The Coinbase asset team is also accelerating its expansion and striving to list more tokens.
