PANews reported on January 16 that according to CoinDesk, Indian telecommunications and technology company Jio Platforms (JPL) announced a partnership with Polygon Labs to introduce Web3 and blockchain services into its existing applications and services. JPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian energy giant Reliance Industries and is led by Asian billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

Polygon's advanced blockchain technology will help Jio provide decentralized digital services to 450 million users and promote the rapid development of the Web3 ecosystem in India.
