PANews reported on November 17 that according to Jinshi, eight people familiar with the matter revealed that Trump's transition team is considering a former Uber executive and three current or former Republican congressmen (one of whom is now a Fox News host) to lead the U.S. Department of Transportation. Three sources said that Emil Michael, a Trump donor, a technology entrepreneur with social ties to Elon Musk, and a former Uber executive, has become a leading contender. Seven sources said that other candidates include Missouri House of Representatives member and chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Sam Graves, outgoing Louisiana Republican Congressman Garret Graves, and former Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy, who is now a Fox News host.
