South Korea's parliament approves request to lift martial law

PANews reported on December 4 that according to Jinshi, the South Korean National Assembly held an emergency meeting in the early morning of December 4 and voted on "requesting the lifting of the emergency martial law order." 190 members attended the meeting, 170 members voted in favor, and South Korean National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik subsequently announced that the emergency martial law order was invalid.
