PANews reported on April 10 that according to Bitcoin News, Anthony Miller, CEO of Westpac Bank of Australia, apologized after the bank froze a customer's account because the customer transferred $30,000 to the cryptocurrency exchange CoinSpot. The customer, Tim, said that the one-week account freeze made him miss out on $6,500 in Bitcoin earnings. This incident comes at a time when Australia is committed to solving the problem of "debanking" and introducing new cryptocurrency licensing rules.
