PANews reported on April 11 that, according to CCTV News, Iranian sources stated that the conditions set by Iran for initiating negotiations, including the unfreezing of Iranian assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon, have not yet been met. However, earlier, a senior Iranian source indicated that the United States had agreed to unfreeze Iranian assets "in Qatar and other countries' banks." The United States has not yet made any public response regarding the unfreezing of Iranian assets. Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf posted on social media on April 10 that two conditions must be met before negotiations can begin: a ceasefire in Lebanon and the unfreezing of Iranian assets.
Iranian sources say the conditions for starting negotiations have not yet been met.
