A senior Iranian military official denied reports of any US ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

PANews reported on April 11 that, according to Jinshi, a senior Iranian military official denied reports of any US ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian sources stated that as negotiations progressed to the expert level, some members of the Iranian delegation's specialized committees had traveled to the negotiation site to participate in consultations.

Iran reported detecting a U.S. destroyer sailing from the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates toward the Strait of Hormuz. After closely monitoring its movements, the Iranian armed forces immediately notified the Iranian delegation negotiating in Pakistan. The delegation then conveyed its position to the U.S. through Pakistani mediators and issued a clear warning to the destroyer: if it continued to approach the Strait of Hormuz, it would be attacked within 30 minutes, and the negotiations would be affected. Due to the resolute response of the Iranian armed forces and the timely warning from the negotiating team, the U.S. ultimately ordered the destroyer to halt and turn back.
