January nonfarm payrolls significantly exceeded expectations, while the unemployment rate was slightly lower than expected.

PANews reported on February 11 that the U.S. added 130,000 non-farm payroll jobs in January, significantly exceeding the market median expectation of 70,000 and marking the largest increase since April 2025. The U.S. unemployment rate in January was 4.3%, slightly lower than the market expectation of 4.4%, and a new low since August 2025.
