PANews reported on February 15th that DeFi derivatives protocol Polynomial announced the closure of Polynomial Chain and Polynomial Trade. Operations ceased on February 14th and entered a final phase, with forced liquidation on February 18th, the liquidity layer shutting down on February 24th, and the chain ceasing operation on March 3rd.

Polynomial also cancelled its planned TGE in the first quarter of 2026, stating that it did not want to "issue tokens for a dying product." The team stated that it will retain participant data and give early backers priority access to the new company's subsequent products.
