PANews reported on March 1st that, according to CCTV News, at approximately 1:30 AM local time on March 1st, the northeast side of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai was attacked and caught fire. Many hotel guests were asleep when the attack occurred and were awakened by the loud explosion, accompanied by a strong tremor. Guests rushed to safety through the emergency exits. The hotel lobby was filled with thick smoke. The fire has since been extinguished.
CZ posted that everything is currently fine, and given the situation, it is actually very calm here. UAE citizens and tourists have full confidence in the national leadership and defense system. Some smoke was seen rising in the sky, and several loud bangs were heard. This appears to be the most serious loss for Dubai/the UAE. It is likely debris from an intercepted missile.
