Bezos's AI startup Prometheus has raised $12 billion in Series B funding, valuing the company at $41 billion.

PANews reported on June 12 that, according to GeekWire, Prometheus, the AI ​​startup co-founded by Jeff Bezos, has completed a $12 billion Series B funding round, valuing the company at approximately $41 billion. Investors include JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, DST Global, and Arch Venture Partners. Prometheus has dropped "Project" from its original name and focuses on creating what Bezos calls "general AI engineers," using AI tools to accelerate the physical product development process from design to manufacturing.

Prometheus co-CEO Vik Bajaj stated that in recent years, they have been able to transform complex problems from design to manufacturing into end-to-end AI problems. Bezos revealed that the company may acquire some manufacturing companies that can benefit from its technology and help improve their production processes. This is Bezos's first time as CEO since stepping down as Amazon CEO in 2021. The company currently has approximately 150 employees, headquartered in San Francisco, with teams in London and Zurich. Bezos stated that the product launch timeline is not yet determined, but an early version is coming soon.
