PANews reported on March 2 that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi (@takaichi_sanae) posted that she was aware of a cryptocurrency called "SANAE TOKEN" that had been issued and was being traded, but that the name had caused misunderstandings. She and her office were completely unaware of the token, had not been informed of its nature, and had not given any approval or endorsement to it. She reminded the public not to be misled.
Sanae Kaoshi issued a statement regarding "SANAE TOKEN": It is unrelated to them and has not been authorized.
