PANews reported on March 10th, citing Cointelegraph, that a French couple in their fifties were attacked at their home in Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt, a suburb west of Paris, by three suspects posing as police officers. The suspects threatened the husband with a knife and forced him to transfer over €900,000 (approximately $1 million) in BTC. They then bound him, injured both of them, and fled in a white van. The woman later freed her husband and called the police. Versailles prosecutors have opened a case on charges of unlawful detention, armed organized robbery, and conspiracy with a criminal gang, and the investigation is being conducted by the Brigade for the Repression of Banditry.
