PANews reported on March 12th that, according to CoinDesk, Ripple will acquire Australian payment institution BC Payments Australia to obtain a local financial services license, achieving end-to-end compliance and control over its cross-border payment business in the Asia-Pacific region. The report points out that after the transaction, Ripple can further strengthen its cross-border settlement network based on XRP and related payment networks in the APAC region. Currently, Ripple holds or has obtained more than 75 regulatory licenses globally, and this acquisition is seen as an important step in expanding its payment network within the Asia-Pacific compliance framework.
