World has launched AgentKit, a toolkit that integrates the x402 protocol, to verify the real-person identity behind every AI transaction.

PANews reported on March 18th that World, an identity project co-founded by Sam Altman, has launched its developer toolkit, AgentKit, enabling AI agents to carry cryptographic proofs backed by real humans. AgentKit integrates the x402 protocol developed by Coinbase and Cloudflare, allowing AI agents to make small stablecoin payments while verifying a unique human identity through the World ID system. AgentKit uses zero-knowledge proofs to link multiple agents to the same verified human, allowing the platform to set restrictions at the identity level, such as a fixed number of free trials or reservations per person per day. The current beta version relies on Orb biometric verification, with future plans to expand to NFC passports and ID cards.
