PANews reported on March 30 that the non-profit European Crypto Initiative (EUCI) has officially changed its name to the European Ethereum Institute (EEI), positioning Ethereum as a fundamental public infrastructure for the European digital economy. EEI will provide independent, evidence-based analysis of European regulatory rules affecting Ethereum, its developers, businesses, and users, focusing on bridging the gap between technology and policy, connecting protocol developers, civil society, businesses, and policymakers. EEI officially announced its launch at the EthCC conference in Cannes, France, declaring that its work aligns with the reality that "Ethereum has become a core foundational layer of the European digital economy."
The European Crypto Initiative (EUCI) has been renamed the European Ethereum Institute (EEI).
