PANews reported on April 1 that, according to a report by India's NDTV cited by Jinshi, the Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament stated: "The Strait of Hormuz will not be opened. We have not held any negotiations, nor will we in the future. The decision-making power regarding war, peace, and negotiations rests with the Supreme Leader, and no permission for negotiations has been issued at present."
