PANews reported on April 4th that, according to Jinshi, an insider confirmed that Meta has suspended its cooperation with artificial intelligence startup Mercor and launched an investigation following a recent data breach. Mercor, valued at $10 billion in a funding round last October, collaborates with large tech companies like Meta, training AI models with the help of thousands of contractors and experts. Wired first reported last Friday that Meta had suspended all cooperation with the company. Meta declined to comment; Mercor confirmed that it did indeed experience a security breach.
