PANews reported on April 7 that Virtuals Protocol launched the Eastworlds platform to accelerate the development of robotics applications and embodied AI technology. The platform supports rapid robot development through an embodied AI accelerator and provides physical AI business process outsourcing services, deploying robots as services in industries such as retail, hospitality, and security. Even before achieving full autonomy, robots can be immediately put into use through remote operation and hybrid systems.
At the same time, the platform uses embodied AI data lake to collect and deploy data, gradually improves the robot's autonomous capabilities, and realizes commercial value through early commercial contracts and workflow embedding.
Initial applications include automotive repair technician robots capable of performing vehicle maintenance and inspection tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake pad condition, to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Research partners include Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Oxford University, Nanyang Technological University, and Carnegie Mellon University.
